There once was a computer named Carter. Carter had been a bad computer and had not been fully inoculated at the beginning of school. But Carter did not care. He went and played in the breeding grounds for all sorts of viruses and bugs. Carter soon came down with a mildly annoying bug which annoyed Laura. However, Laura being the wise person that she is decided to ignore it. Laura was in denial.
Carter's bug although not completely obvious, would show its presence right when Laura was in the middle of important things like 'myspace' and 'facebook' and her other 'important' activities. This caused Laura to be somewhat concerned. With the help of Bonnie her trusty side-kick they dug deeper into the mystery of Carter's ailment. Although they did make some progress they were hindered by the powerful bugs that had become a part of Carter...(that and Bonnie's brilliant idea to delete the virus protection--Laura and Bonnie were slightly confused as to which virus protection had been given to them by the university.)
However, they would not give up hope. They were on a mission to save Carter! At this point though there was nothing more that could be done that day. Laura would need to go and get the 'cure' from CIS the next day. Laura being the easily frustrated and annoyed person she is decided she no longer liked Carter. She said mean horrible things such as "Carter is on drugs" and "Carter is dead to me, long live The Computer Formerly Known as Carlos!" among other things that shall remain unrepeated.
The next day after work Laura attempted to properly inoculate Carter. Although Carter was feeling not quite up to the task because of the previous statements by Laura. However, he did wish to get better. So, Laura proceeded to give him things to make him better. First Ad-Aware, which Carter doesn't like at all, and then Spybot, and then McAfee. Although he had some of those before he got sick they weren't really working properly. All of these things did help Carter. Carter now is feeling much better. He has hopefully learned his lesson. No more playing where he shouldn't. Hopefully the inoculation will help him stay safe despite his carefree ways. Now Laura and Carter are back to spending quality time together. She is sorry for the mean things she said. Carter is her favorite computer after all.
