~Goodbye 3 Day Weekend. I will miss you.~

Well it was a good weekend. Today I spent the day with family and friends. A group of my friends went to see the movie "Raising Helen." It was a good movie. But people should be warned that it isn't really as much of a comedy as the previews have made it seem. It is cute though. I liked it.

Then later, at 7 p.m. I went over to Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Larry's house. Mom, Teresa, and I played cards with them until about 9ish. It was fun. I didn't win any games though. Oh well, I rarely do.

~Good-Bye!

Another attempt at a picture.

This probably won't work. However I really want to be able to post pictures, so I am trying again. grr.

Aren't 3 day weekends great!

Today was a fun day. JonTon left before church this morning. It was good to have them down for the weekend. It looks like they will be visiting a lot in the summer.

After church I spent my time doing homework and fiddling around with pictures. I printed some off on photo paper. It was great fun. The homework wasn't really fun, but at least it is done.

Then at 7 p.m. I went over to Megan's house to hang out with the gang. We had a pretty good sized group over. We played video games and watched "The Wedding Planner." That is a cute movie. We had a good time playing video games. We played 'Dance, Dance Revolution' and '007.' I really enjoy the '007' game because you get to shoot each other. lol. I am not all that good at it, but it is fun. If I had a video game player thing that is the game I would buy. Then I could get really good at it...Course then no one would want to play me...

Anyway, tomorrow is another day off! I can't believe it! I plan to sleep in and then hang out with my friends for a bit. Then later in the evening I am going over to Grandma Ruth's. Anyway, I guess that is it for today. ~Ferguson Out

The Ferguson's Annual Memorial Day Tradition

Well today was the Annual Memorial Day Ferguson Tradition. We went down to Fall City, Oregon and put flowers on our ancestor's graves. It is always a great time of family fellowship.

This year was the first year that I have driven down there. I must tell you all that I really dislike following people to places. You are always stuck behind them. This seems to bother me. I was behind my dad the whole trip, and it was rather irritating. First he wasn't going the speed limit. This highly annoys Laura. People should always go the speed limit. Then he was going a LOT over the speed limit. I am all for going a bit over the speed limit, however, too much over the speed limit makes me nervous. Not because of my driving ability, but just because I am paranoid about being pulled over. So, needless to say I was annoyed at my Father's driving techniques. I think cruise control should be used more often.

Anyway, it was a good day and I enjoyed the family tradition. -Ferguson Out!

Greetings from my Business Communication Class

Good grief. Here I am in my Business Communication class. I am "working" on my group project. Can't you tell? Actually the group is basically done and so I don't have anything to do in class. And it is raining outside so I don't want leave the classroom yet. I don't wanna get wet. I might melt...

I am really glad that it is Friday. Not just Friday, but the Friday of a 3 day weekend!! Yay! Very exciting! It should be a good weekend. A little out of town trip, hanging with my friends, and JonTon is coming to visit. It should be grand!

Anyway, I should at least attempt to do something productive. I probably won't succeed though. Oh well. Who really expects to get much done on the last day before a 3 day weekend? -Ferguson Out!

I want to hurt the person who thought Group Projects were a good idea!

It is getting to the end of the quarter, which means all the group projects are almost due. I have 2 of them. One of them is on "Office Managers" and the other is on "Leadership." Although both have gone pretty well, and I have pretty good groups, I am beginning to feel stressed. My Office Managers one needs about another page for the research paper in order for it to meet the requirements. And somehow I have been put in charge of the paper. Grr. Then, my Leadership one needs to have some finishing touches on it. The report needs to be put together and okayed by the group. And somehow I got put in charge of presenting it in front of the class. Oh well. Life goes on I suppose. I am not too stressed out, I think it more an annoyance. I will be glad when school is over.

And the winner is?!

Well, folks in case you are living in some type of bubble, I thought I would clue you in that Fantasia won American Idol. And I must say that she deserved it. I almost wanted her to win just because it would give Diana more freedom in what she wants to do. She wouldn't have to do what American Idol wants her to, if that makes sense. But it is all good because Diana will most likely go on to make her own record and sell millions of copies with out the title of "American Idol." Who needs it anyway! Hmph!

Anyway, back to the real world. I didn't really do much today. I went to my one class. Then after lunch I went to work for a couple hours. Once back at home I watched a little television ("Dr. Phil" and "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest"). Then it was homework time. I had to finish writing a paper, read a chapter in Office Procedures, and complete my Accounting homework. Isn't homework grand?! So after all that I watched the "American Idol" finale and then switched over to watch an hour of the Country Music Awards. Great fun!

Tomorrow is one step closer to Friday, which is exciting. Only a few more weeks of school left. Yippy! -Ferguson Out!

American Idol Obsession

American Idol Finale! Yeah! Go Diana. lol. Okay, so perhaps Fantasia is the better all-around singer, but I just am not a huge fan. I must say that I am much more of a fan of Diana. So, I am torn as to who should win. I guess ultimately it doesn't matter though because they will both get recording contracts so, whatever. Dad and I voted for Diana. Mom and Teresa voted for Fantasia. Tune in tomorrow to see who wins! Ferguson Out!!

Where is my Enchanting Ogre?...(don't say Mike)

Well today was a very interesting day. I never would have guessed it would have ended up like it did.

First off I went to school and didn't even get to the classroom before I heard that the teacher was out sick with pneumonia. Oh dear. Good news for me however, because it meant no class. So, I went home. I have heard that tomorrow there will be a substitute, and I am not really looking forward to that. Learning from someone new is always difficult. Hopefully my teacher will get well and return quickly.

So I came home and watched a recorded "American Idol" special. It was pretty good. It reflected back on all the previous seasons. Then at 12:30 I went to work. It was actually probably the most fun I have had at work...Ever (at least at LSG). They are usually pretty quite, but today they were pretty talkative, which was nice.

So, then I did about 15 minutes of homework and killed some time on the internet waiting for Kristen to arrive so that I could rewatch "Alias" finale with her. It is always fun to see her reaction to what happens. hee hee. So after we watched the show Teresa and I went over to her house for a bit. However, we then decided to go see a movie. We chose to see "Shrek 2." It was a very enchanting movie. The Fairy God Mother was great. lol. I liked her opening song. hee hee.

Anyway, tomorrow is another day and unfortunately I have class. Oh well. Such is life.
-Ferguson Out!
P.S. I know I was going to rant about something today, but I can't think of what it was.

Another day wasted in the life of Laura

Today was pretty relaxed. I woke up at about 9:15 and got myself ready for the day. It turned out that I didn't go to church today, which makes me feel a bit guilty since I haven't gone in a while.

I did however accomplish a few things today. I worked on a report for school. It was highly exciting stuff. I can almost smell the 'A'. I then set to work finishing my Senior Year Scrapbook. And I am basically done with it now. I should still go back and put some finishing touches on it, but it is pretty much finished. Which is a relief since it has been nagging at me ever since I graduated. Which as we all know is just about a week away from a year ago. Amazing.

Anyway, so Teresa and I had the run of the house tonight. How did we spend it? Well by watching "The Sound of Music" of course! lol. It was great fun to watch and sing along with the movie. It is a classic. Although I must admit that some of it make no sense to me. Who wrote those songs anyway? With lines like 'Raindrops on roses' and 'How do you hold a moon beam in your hand' What were these people on? I mean what kind of person actually gets happy over raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens? And who even thinks of trying to hold a moon beam (whatever that is) in your hand? I am not sure I will ever understand it.

Another Friday

Welcome to Friday night in Laura Land. It has been pretty dull. I babysat tonight, which was enjoyable. I haven't done it in a while so I was missing the kids. lol. It was just the two little ones. They are cute though.

Then I came home and did nothing. There was really nothing good on television so I kinda just watched nothing. Needless to say I was bored. Oh well. Such is my life.

I found my 'My Little Pony' that looks like a Camel!

Good Grief. What a day. Why is it that girls seem to do nothing but think about having relationships with guys. And yet when they have the option they often find that it isn't at all what they expected. It is all too complicated. It should be easy, but it isn't. Why is that? One of life's great mysteries I guess.

Ho Hum

Here I am once again killing time in the LCC computer lab. It has been a while I guess, but maybe not long enough. I just finished taking a test in my office Procedures Class. I think that I did okay on it, nothing spectacular though. Next comes my Accounting class, but not for another 45 minutes. The teacher isn't going to be there, we are just gonna be working on our final project in the computer lab. Fun. Fun. I can hardly wait. I was hoping to be able to leave early from that class, but I am now unsure if it will actually happen. Oh well. I still have to go to work sometime today. I was hoping to be able to do it sooner rather than later, but later will work if it has to. lol.

I wish I had something better to do with my time. Actually I am sure I could find something....So maybe I subcontiously don't want to find something better to do with my time. Interesting concept. Anyway...

I guess I have wasted all the time I can on blogging. lol. ttfn. ~Laura

My new favorite thing...

All these silly Hollywood biographies sure suck me in. It amazes me how everyday people become superstars. How come none of my friends became superstars? I guess there is still time. lol.

I was watching one on Jessica Simpson yesterday. Now there is an interesting story. Christian girl growing up in a Christian family and because she can't make it on the Christian market because of several different reasons she goes to the secular label. Imagine what would have happened if she had been on a Christian label! Her life would have taken a different turn (obviously). Stupid Christian labels and their biases attitudes. Hmph. lol.

Anyway, I am done cohouse-sitting so I guess that is all for the Hollywood biographies. How sad. I was really enjoying them. I always thought that if I got cable it would be the makeover shows that I would be watching like "Trading Spaces" or something. But now I am starting to think that I would watch "VH1" and the "E" channel. They are much more fascinating. As if I need more television in my life.

Anyway, so on American Idol tonight Jasmine went home. So that means that Diana and Fantasia are the final 2! yeah! I really like Diana DeGarmo, but I think that Fantasia should win...I guess. She is a better singer, she just isn't my style. Oh well, Diana will do fine either way so...Whatever.

Obviously all I am doing is ranting about television. What has my life become...Oh wait I think it has always been like this. How pathetic am I? -Ferguson OUT!

My poor aching head

I feel like I have been rather delinquent with my blogging, but I guess it hasn't been that bad. These last few days have been kinda crazy though because I am kinda house-sitting with Andrea. It has been fun and exhausting all at the same time. lol.

Today I woke up with a blinding headache at like 6:00 a.m. I then attempted to go back to sleep until about 7:20 when I gave up and took a shower. After that I went back to my house and slept for another 40 minutes before taking off for school. The headache was only semi better. Poor Wendy had to listen to me complain about my headache throughout class. lol. It has continued to remain almost in the background all day. It likes to remind me that it is there every so often though. I hate headaches.

Andrea and I have been having fun watching satellite television. We get sucked into silly things like the true Hollywood stories of celebrities, music videos, and reality TV shows. It is very fascinating. I have learned a lot about Paula Abdul, Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, and Demi Moore. So, if you have any questions about them I now feel like an expert...well maybe not an expert but...

Yeah, so I think I am gonna go to bed and see if I can get rid of this headache while I sleep. That would be wonderful. ~Laura

My Life as a fan of Ryan Seacrest

Today was a pretty good day. I got out of my one class early so I was able to get started on my homework early in the day. lol. Which is a good thing because I had a lot of it to do. It was all Accounting, but accounting is time consuming...

After lunch I went to work for a couple of hours. Highly exciting. I might work again tomorrow even though I am not scheduled, but I'll have to wait and see.

Then I came home and watched Ryan Seacrest on "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest." Then I later tuned in to watch him host "American Idol." It was a rather surprising episode. I could have sworn that Jasmine was gone, but nope American got rid of La Toya instead. Stupid Americans. What were they thinking?! Jasmine deserved to go. Oh well. Life goes on.

My Life as a Math Student

Well, well, well. Here we are again. Another Tuesday.

Today I went to my two classes. Both classes today were covering accounting concepts. So, I had like 5 hours of math today. It was mind numbing. I am glad that I basically understand it. In my Office Procedures class it was all stuff I had learned before so that was good. And in my Accounting class we had a quiz, which I think I did pretty good on considering...

I spent basically my entire afternoon in front of the television.

3:30-4:00 Second half of Dr. Phil
4:00-5:00 On-Air with Ryan Seacrest (technically I fell asleep during the second half)

Short break for dinner and computer time. I also took a walk to the lake with my family.

8:00-9:00 American Idol (Dad and I voted for Diana; Mom and Teresa voted for La Toya)
9:00-10:00 Dick Van Dyke Special
10:00-11:00 Judging Amy

Yep. That is what I did with my day. Very satisfying and highly exciting. Anyway, bet you can't beat that! -Ferguson Out!

My life as a working individual

Greetings to all. Today was both full and empty. I know that sounds confusing, but basically the first half of the day was rather full while the last half was rather empty.

I went to my one class, which got out early! Yea! Unfortunately, I still had to stick around the college because I had to meet with my group members to work on a project. Boo!

From there I came back home and ate lunch before going to work at 1:00. I worked until about 3ish and then came home. Work went well, I was able to complete all of my tasks before quitting time. Which is both good and bad I guess. Ho-Hum.

I spent the rest of the evening reading, doing homework, wasting time on the computer, and watching television. I finished the book I was reading, completed my homework for both Tuesday and Wednesday, and watched the season finale of "Everwood."

It was a highly exciting day. ~Laura

My life as a fan of Survivor

Today was the finale of Survivor All-Star. And what a show! It ended exactly the way I wanted it to. I love happy endings. Ho-hum. What am I to do without that show. It is such a discussion maker. Everyone has some opinion, even it they don't really watch it. One of the greatest shows of all time....

My Life as a Member of the Ferguson Family

Today we celebrated Mother's Day. We got mom a plant/flower to replace some of the ones out front that aren't flowering anymore. So, that was cool.

In the evening we went out to Grandma Theo and Grandad's house and celebrated Mother's Day and Teresa's b-day. Aunt Linda was there, and it was a good family time. I was able to be the computer expert and fix Aunt Linda's blog as well as update Grandma's computer. Aren't I cool. lol.

Earlier today I helped out with the Postal Food Drive. It was fun to be able to hang out with the Junior--no--Senior class. They are so funny. I found another person I know that is going to be at SPU next year, so that is exciting! I have a feeling that I will be driving a lot next year since nobody but me is gonna have a car. lol. Oh, well I enjoy driving. It is one of my favorite things to do. Yep. Driving, Computer time, and TV. Those are my favorite things to do. I suppose you could throw in reading in there too.

Anyway, I think that is all for today. It has been a good day. ~Ferguson Out

My Life as an Amateur Bowler

It is Friday! Yippy! I am so happy! I enjoy my weekends. Today was pretty adventuresome. It all started with a rude awakening. 7:30 in the morning: Knock, Knock. "Laura, Teresa missed her ride. Can you take her to school?" So I got ready in about 3.5 minutes and drove her to school. I then came back and proceeded to get ready. Then I left early for school to drop of my mom's tape at Healthworks Northwest. So, I went to my one class. It was highly exciting. We took a quiz on commas. Woohoo.

Then from school I went straight to work. I filed ultrasounds for about an hour and a half and then proceeded to destroy charts. It was quite a productive day at work. It was nice to get those things out of the way. They had been looming in the background for a while.

Then from work I left to go to a late lunch with my friends. We ate at Schlaugh...Schlatski....Well anyway the deli place with the slogan "Funny name, great sandwich" or something like that. lol. Vern, Jaeyeon, her sis, and myself ate there. Andrea didn't show up. From there we decided to go see a movie. So, we went to the theatre and got tickets for the new Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movie. So, we are sitting there and the movie is almost starting when Andrea walks in!! She had spent the last hour and a half trying to track us down and it had finally paid off. However, she wanted to see a different movie, so we switched movies. lol. Instead of seeing "New York Minute" we saw "Mean Girls." lol! I liked the movie and thought it was funny, but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. It was about what I expected though.

So, then thinking that my evening was over since all my friends had other things to do (Vern had to tear up her carpet, and Jaeyeon and her sis went home)...Andrea and I went to the mall, and then parted ways. So, I went home and I get a call from Andrea saying that her sis has invited us to go bowling with Jacob, Jeremy, Jessica, Diane, and herself. So, of course I said yes! So, Andrea came and picked me up and we went to Foxx Bowl. So we played one game there and then we decided that we would like Highlander better so we hopped (actually we drove) over there and played 2 more games! I must say that I am highly impressed with Highlander Bowls' new facility. It is really cool!

So, anyway that has been my day. It was actually pretty exciting. Shocker! Anyway, goodnight. ~Laura

My life as a television addict

A notable day for television watchers everywhere. "Friends" has now come and gone. It is kinda odd for me to be viewing this as such a notable event. Up until this last year or so I never watched the show. And now it is gone forever (unless you count the DVD seasons. lol.). At least it ended with a 'happily ever after.' Chandler and Monica got twins, Phoebe is married, Ross and Rachel got together, and Joey...Well he is getting a spin off show devoted to him so...I like when things end well.

My life as a bored college student

Today was rather uneventful, as most of my life is. I went to my one class and got out early because of a test. Then I worked on Accounting homework with a friend in the computer lab. When I got back to the house my Aunt and my Dad were just leaving for a walk, so I joined them. Surprisingly, it didn't rain on us.

After that I came home and watched some recorded television. I had to get myself caught up! I then was bored, so I decided I would actually do my homework earlier than normal. Shocker! Then I fiddled around with some pictures from this last weekend. I watched "Dr. Phil" and "On-air." Then came dinner. After dinner Teresa and Dad went to church, while Mom and I stayed home and did nothing. I dinked around on the computer, but it wasn't very fun because no one was online. Silly people.

Then it was time for "American Idol," where I watched George Huff get kicked off. I am glad that he is gone, but I think Jasmine should have gone first. After "AI" came the big event of the night. The season finale of "The O.C." I have only started watching that show 7 episodes ago. And I like it, but I think that if I had started watching it from the beginning I wouldn't have liked it as much. The character development is important, and because I have gotten in on the end I like it. I guess. lol.

After that I watched the second half of a special tribute to "Friends." I can't believe that show is ending. I find it sad in a way. Like the end of an era or something. Oh well. One day I will talk to Megan about the show and we will remember the good old days. Because, that is what we seem to do with everything that ends (such as WHquestion and "Sports Night"...).

Anyway, it is getting late, so I should go to bed. Hope you had good day. ~Laura

I hate working on Tuesday's and Thursday's

Well here I am again. I am attempting to come up with another creative way to write in my blog, but nothing has come to mind yet.

Today was pretty busy. I got up early and delivered a chair to Cornerstone so that Teresa could start working on it for her art project. Whatever. Then I went to my 2 classes which lasted until 1:45 (we got out early). Then I zipped over to work and put in my 2 hours. From there I came home and did homework before going to Bible study. I then got my television time in and am now I am ready for bed. lol.

Anyway, that has been my day. Exciting stuff! Hopefully you had an exciting day as well. ttfn. ~Laura

A day like any other day...or is it?

Back to school today. I am really looking forward to the summer. There is only a few more months now. Actually I guess it is like a month and a half. That is good, also a little scary though.

I didn't work today so I had quite a bit of spare time. I went for a walk with my dad. I worked on homework, which is always exciting. I washed my car! I like it when my car is clean, but I don't really like taking the time to clean it. I went to seattle and got it pretty dirty though. It doesn't help that I park under a tree when I go to school and then I come back and there is sap and junk on my car! It doesn't make me very happy. Stupid tree.

I got a graduation announcement from my friend in Arkansas. That was cool, not that I will actually attend or anything. lol. Her senior picture is good (aren't all senior pictures good?).

Anyway, I should stop talking about nothing. ttfn. ~Laura

3rd person is fun!

On Friday Laura left for Seattle with her friends at 3:15ish. She made pretty good time on the freeway despite some traffic in Olympia and Tacoma. She arrived in Seattle at 5:45. After dropping off her friends at Megan's dorm she met up with Jonathan and Tonia. She grabbed a slice of pizza from Zeeks to go and they were on their way to tour a possible condo in Renton. (If she could figure out how she would link a picture of the condo here....How sad.) The tour went well and they soon were on their way back to Seattle. Upon arriving back in Seattle they visited Jonathan's office building and got a tour. Jonathan has great views from his office floors. Laura is slightly jealous. Once back at Tonia's apartment they decided to watch "Chicago." Laura recommends this movie...She thinks. She recently got the soundtrack and has been listening to it a lot this weekend.

On Saturday Laura met back up with her friends at about 11:00. After eating brunch at Denny's they proceeded to tour the city. They went to Pike Place, where they were excited to not encounter any drug dealers. lol. They also visited the Seattle Center, were they were excited to find a parking place. After the Seattle Center they went to Kerry Park and took pictures with the city of Seattle as the background (another missed opportunity for a picture link. grrr.)

They then went back to Megan's dorm room and watched a few episodes of The O.C. For dinner Laura took them to the fast food place of their choosing. Once it got dark they joined some of Megan's friends in playing sardines (a hide-and-seek type of game played in teams). They played that for a while and then got distracted by a cool plant in a guys dorm room in Moyer. So, they went inside Moyer in search of the room with the cool plant, however, the guy with the cool plant wasn't there. So instead they got a tour of Moyer from "Moyer Jason." After the tour of Moyer they went to Seven Eleven. From there they went back to the dorm and watched another episode of The O.C. After this Laura decided it was time to go back to Tonia's apartment seeing as how it was 1:00.

Upon arriving back at Tonia's apartment she found 6 people watching "Cheaper by the Dozen." So, she joined them because they were sitting on her bed (the couch). lol. "Cheaper by the Dozen" (the new one) is a cute movie, Laura recommends that one as well. So, Laura got to bed at about 2:30 a.m. It was a fun day!

On Sunday Laura and her friends were on the road back to Longview by 11:15ish. Traffic was pretty good so they arrived back at home by 1:30ish. Laura dropped her friends off and headed home.

At 2:00 Laura's Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Aunt came over to celebrate Teresa's b-day/early Mother's Day. They all had a good time fellowshipping.

And now Laura is ready for bed. It has been a very fun weekend, but it was exhausting. More school tomorrow. Time for Laura to go to bed. Goodnight.
